Our traditional pub sits proudly at the beginning of Fenkle Street in Alnwick, at the heart of the town centre.
Alnwick is a popular tourist destination in Northumberland, and for good reason. We boast the famous Alnwick Castle & Alnwick Gardens, both within 10 minutes walk from our front door. Take a short drive and you’ll arrive at some of the best coastline in the UK. Our home is scattered with historic landmarks & beautiful nature – all easily accessible via road, rail & air

Here at The Market Tavern, you can drink & dine comfortably in either our bar or restaurant. Both have a unique ambience which you won’t find anywhere else in the county.
Our candle lit steakhouse restaurant is a splendid place to enjoy something from our menu in a relaxed & intimate setting. Seating up to 40 guests, tables can be booked 7 days a week, as well as for private events and parties.
Down in the bar you can discover the same great food & drinks, but in a cosy & traditional setting. This is a perfect spot to relax and unwind, chat to others & enjoy being in a ‘proper pub’.
FAQs
Yes, we are very welcoming of 4 legged friends in our bar area. However, we do not allow dogs into the restaurant. You can order our full menu in the bar area.
